Call me old fashioned, but I use a pencil and calculator. (For the technically inclined, it is a Reverse Polish Notation Printing Calculator and a number 2 pencil.)
I do go online and download the PDF forms to type in the figures after the pencil has done its work.
I have a friend who works at H&R Block. The first year I owned a rental house, he offered to do my taxes. I did them with my trusty pencil, then had him do them. His figures matched mine, to the penny.
