Turn Any HDMI TV Into a Chrome PC for Under $100

Google just introduced a whole new kind of Chrome OS computer—a dongle that plugs into any HDMI-equipped display. It’s called a Chromebit, and it isn’t your run-of-the-mill streaming stick. For under $100, you’re looking at a full computer that plugs right into your TV.

Just add a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and it should work just like a Chromebox.

  • I like the tilt swivel HDMI connector, Google needs to sell cables like that.

Regarding the chromebit.... I guess if you lived in a park that offered decent wifi, this would be handy.

As a solo traveler, my wireless internet comes from my android phone, so I just use it. If I need the big screen, the phone connects to it wirelessly via $25 chromecast dongle. Bluetooth keyboard and mouse are options as well, if needed.

Using my android phone just to supply internet to an android chromebit seems counter productive or needlessly complicated.

For the couples traveling, they've already got his and hers laptops or ipads, any of which should easily connect wirelessly to a television as needed.

I just don't see the point I guess is all.
