We currently use Verizon for internet while traveling. Between the 2 cell phones and the mi-fi, we spend about $150 a month, unlimited data and text.
For TV we usually can get 20+ local channels off the HD crank up antenna. Most of the time we get the 4 major networks plus PBS.
We also have a Netflix account to watch movies and older programs. I know that a 1.5 hour movie on Netflix at 1080p will use 4GB of data...but with unlimited data, it really doesn't matter how much a movie or program uses. Verizon will throttle you back to 3G service once you reach 22GB, but we have never got to that point.
