2002 Minnie Winnie. Previous owner had satellite installed ( in motion) we have been trying to get signal off the antenna since we often camp around trees. The system has the switching box but we are not sure if the antenna is connected. There is an odd three wire plug in the TV cabinet. But would think antenna would be normal coaxel

Yes, the antenna should be coaxial cable.The three wire plug could be for a relay that turns power off to TV so it cannot be watched while in motion, that is if the connector is cabinet above the steering wheel.Look at the back of the box. It should be labeled.Have you located antenna switch plate with small push button or slider to turn on power to antenna booster which is located in the antenna head?

Yes you need a coaxial cable connected to the TV.Are the TV,s the old analog type supplied in 2002? If so you will need a digital converter, or replace the TV with a newer digital type.Does the RV have a digital switch-box? Set the box to antenna setting.Doe the MH have a good antenna? The type that raises and can be aimed? If not you range may be less than 30 miles. The antenna booster must be turned on to amplify and receive a decent signal.All digital televisions must run an "auto search" to locate signals and place the channels into memory each time you move to a new area.

Thanks that answers the three wire plug. The TV is digital. The booster was on. The antenna was up ( had to replace gears) we tried running cable ( what we assume is the antenna wire) thru splitter box nothing but snow. We tried connecting directly to TV. Still just snow.

You need to check to insure there is 12 volts DC getting to the antenna. This is done by disconnecting the coaxial cable at the antenna. Use a volt meter or test light to check for the voltage.Pull the booster power supply out of the wall or ceiling. Check to see if there is 12 volts leaving going to the antenna.Did you check the back of the splitter box for any identification on the cables?

Should add that there should be a cable from the booster power supply to the box.

Just ordered the replacement head. After reading the reviews on the low profile a little worried it might get damaged by low hanging branches.

Does it make any difference with power switch for antenna on or off?
If no, then the booster in the head has failed.

There is 12 volts going to antenna ( checked at antenna)

Winguard it works on DISH or Direct. But my issue is not the sat system but the over air antenna

What brand and model of in-motion satellite TV antenna do you have?
And, what service. Dish or Direct? And, do you have a service receiver?
Or, did I misunderstand the question?
