What kind of rig? Sounds like you are on the right track, if it ain't got power, it ain't gonna work, and odds are that it doesn't get any signal through either. Do you have one small coax from the antenna head to the base or roof, connected to the in-coach coax?? I had a problem with that connection, the center wire of the coax corroded and broke up in the connector. Finally replaced with a waterproof connection which worked, then traded rig.
