I just received my HomeWorx this evening. I'm quite impressed with the unit. As 1492 stated, the remote needs work. I discovered that you can record to a USB flash drive that is formatted for NTFS even though the manual implies it should be formatted for FAT32. I did a 30 minute recording that created a single 3GB file. The clip played fine using Windows Media Player on my Win 7 PC. No special codec needed.
I dry camp virtually 100% so power consumption is a big concern for me. I plugged the box into my Kill-A-Watt and measured the current at 0.14 amp at 120 volt while the unit was recording to a USB hard drive.
