Ultimate DISH Hopper RV
My DISH TV for RVs web page has various DISH equipment networks for a Single TV, Two TVs, Three TVs, etc.
But I wondered just how much stuff could be hooked up?
So using just Hoppers, I came up with a single network of 8 Hopper DVRs.
The "single network" means that each Hopper would have access to every other Hopper's recordings -- 16 terabytes (8 x 2TB) of recordings. An additional 32 terabytes (8 x 4TB) of external storage could be added for a grand total of 48 terabytes of recording space.
In addition, since each Hopper has 3 tuners, you would have 24 separate tuners at your disposal.
Finally, all 8 Hoppers could run off one Winegard Travler: The Ultimate DISH Hopper RV.
I ran this past a DISH rep who said DISH would allow up to 7 Hoppers on one account -- 2 Hoppers leased through DISH + 5 Hoppers the customer would have to purchase.
On the other hand, I have 2 Hoppers in my RV and that's plenty.
