Unlimited wifi no contract and what happened to mobley?

So I'm thinking about my upcoming 5 months snowbirding and figured I'd better get my mobley before I go. What I've found is "out of stock"; $599 and $799 plus very limited data at AT&T. What the? ...

That does appear to be it. If you have any business connection, present or recent past, you might be able to sign up for the Sprint (truly) unlimited MiFi like the one I have. Requires 2 year contract at $45/month. Sprint is the weakest network in my opinion but it has worked at many but no all the locations we have been in the last couple of years.
