That he needs to go to a corporate AT&T store, which is different than leased outlets. THEY know what is still available even more than online.
First of all...I have a Mobley, which was purchased at Best Buy, and activated at a Corporate AT&T store.
#1. "THEY" -the Corporate AT&T store) DO NOT know *ANYTHING* about Mobley, the plan, etc.
That was true when I activated mine several months ago at a very busy corporate store in So. CA, and it's still the case (tried to see if I could find a 2nd one).
Even the manager is/was clueless both times - indicating they knew nothing about it. Luckily, (due to the many posts to the same effect on *many* forums) - I was able to "walk" an employee thru the process - including where to find the plan on his listing of AT&T plans on his AT&T computer.
#2. Best Buy has (for a long time now) been ditto on #1 above.
Don't carry it, don't know what it is.
#3. *If* (big "if") AT&T decides to offer the plan (and the device) again - continuous on-line checking is the best bet....and
DON'T hold your breath..
BTW = add to #1 - reps at the 'regular' AT&T (phone) number are also clueless as to what a Mobley is - but will happily sign you up for one of their other plans.
The reps at the *dedicated* phone number for *Mobley* questions, etc.
are the only AT&T employees who are *not* in the digital dark!!
