Unzip files

Can someone give us a simple explanation on how to "unzip" a file? We are using Windows 7 if that matters.

  • Simplest way...

    Create a new folder.
Using the right mouse button do a drag & drop.
Pick the unzip option as you drop it.

Select the folder, you will get a "Extract all files" option on the menu bar. Do so.

. . . and choose or create a folder so you know where it is going.
It automatically goes to folder up one level as the same name folder but not a zip.

Yes. I am aware but the OP may not be and I choose where I store and open zip files.
