Use Cable Modem to Create Home Hotspot??

My wife's desktop died, so I bought her a laptop. I also have a laptop. We used to connect the cable modem into her desktop then it was broadcast wirelessly to my laptop. What do I do now that I have two laptops? Somehow create a hotspot for the both of them?

    Install a wireless router.
    Than you can run your lap tops, iPads and cell phones off of it.
