I tried changing the name but still had the problem. I took it down to the Verizon store along with my laptop and spent over an hour their with a young man behind the counter was able to get my email working for me but not able to resolve the hotspot issue. What was strange is that he got the phone to work tethering it to the laptop, when we tried it as a Wi-Fi hotspot it would not work , when we tried to tether it back to the laptop it no longer worked. He gave me a technical number to call,the problem was beyond his understanding.
