The simplist way for us was to run two RG cables in from the roof mounted SAT DISH two port head. One RG cable went to the bedroom area and the other RG cable went to the living room area.
There I used two spare SAT RCVRS brought in from my home account.
I connected the RG Cables to the SAT RECEIVER ANT-IN port.
Then I used the VIDEO/AUDIO OUTPUT jacks of the SAT RCVR to connect to the VIDEO INPUT jacks on the room TV sets. Now I can watch SAT TV by selecting the VIDEO INPUT jack using the TV REMOTE. This allows each SAT RCVR to watch different channels... I guess the new SAT RCVRS have HDMI outs now which combines both VIDEO and AUDIO on same connection.
I was never able to figure out how the trailer internal RG wiring was accomplished so for me the best method was to leave all of that as is. The interior wiring usually goes through a multiple port TV splitter somewhere and that is what kills the SAT TV signals... The ANT JACK on the SAT RCVRs also have the DC Control voltage on the cable to power up the SAT DISH. The DC will not pass though the TV SPLITTERS in the lines.
I can sit in my easy chair now and switch from SAT-CABLE-OTA...
Can't be much simplier than this haha...
When the NATL BROADCAST came out with their Digital TV requirements we stopped playing with the SAT RCVRS and leave them at home. We get full blown high def digital TV now from the local towns using the OTA BATWING antenna. This is even better than the camp ground CABLE TV hookups...
