Getting the kind of BW you get on cable or the new high speed fiber optic is a nontrivial effort on a cellular system. When 5G is available I expect it will be pricey.

I go through 150gb or so a month when we are up in Canada on Crickets unlimited plan. Most of our use is streaming our Plex content or Slingbox.

Data is dirt cheap for them, I have no issues using unlimited when they call it that and don't throttle after a threshold.

True but doing so thru your cell phone is another story. I stream Netflix, Vudu, SlingTV etc. at home thru my home internet provider. I don't steam anywheres near that much thru my cell phone provider.

I dunno about 40 movies in 200gig. I recently disconnected cable TV and switched to streaming TV over my cable modem... 480gb usage for half of December... I watched five movies and roughly thirty TV episodes.

200gb and higher is a huge amount of data. I have an unlimited AT&T plan through my business and even streaming music every day for two hours of commuting (plus any other driving time), I barely reach 20gb for any given month.

Those "offenders" must be streaming HD Video frequently. 200gb equates to ~~40 Hi Def movies. I see no problem with any carrier cracking down on that volume of usage.
