I am currently using a 12 DC-DC converter to isolate the ground and all works fine. Was just looking for a different way around the problem so I don't have the inefficiencies of the isolation power supply or an inverter. Was hoping someone might be using a different brand of cordless phone so I don't have to purchase and try different one to find one that may work. I think they are using the fact that the wall worts isolate the ground, and yes.....that sux

You can find DC-DC converters on eBay that might work but it sounds like you need to do a little research with a DVM or scope and see if ring ground is being carried through via DC ground and giving the appearance of the phone hung up :(
