Verizon Jetpack----Dead......

My Jetpack would not power up.
Put on charger and it did nothing.
Dead....
Nothing on the screen.

Took it to Verizon store.
They pulled the battery out for about 10 seconds, replaced.
Jetpack, fired right up.
I guess pulling out the battery is a reset or reboot.

Hope this can be helpful if anyone ever has the same problem.

  • Yep, we need to pull the battery and even the sim card to help it operate properly. We've had Verizon replace 2 Jetpacks in 2+ years. We love it when it works, but it is not a perfect device. I hate the "dormant" and "ready" status displays, and on occasion it won't turn off.

There is a reset button inside the cover

The reset button would also reset all of your personal WiFi security settings, so be careful.
  • Mine Sprint phone will not charge unless I remove the battery, 'polish' the contacts, and replace it. Does it every single time --

If I don't, it says charging, but doesn't charge. So, I just do it each time I plug it in ... the advanced technology the exists today is not so advanced all the time.
