Verizon Prepaid tethering

New to this. My new Samsung Illusion on the Verizon Prepaid plan has the ability to be a hotspot. Trouble is, it only works with about half my favorite sites. I get certification errors, etc. My question is, "Will PDAnet of one of the other tethering programs work better with my phone?"

I am not trying to beat Verizon out of anything as I have 4gb of monthly data which will be plenty.
  • Ceck with verizon first. But pdanet or foxfi paid edition works like a charm.

X2 It seemed like I had to install both to get it working but its been up a running as needed in a pinch for some time. Seems very fast too.
  • I'd go on a chat with Verizon first. You should be just fine with their hotspot.

I've used PDANet for years, and am extremely happy with their product. Only downside is that Verizon might have blocked the app's availability on the Google store, but that can be gotten around by sideloading.
