Pre-Early Retirement, I did a few years in Cellular and can offer some tips.
1. While not making a call, hold your Phone ~4" from your Sternum. Face North, South, East and West while staying in each location for ~30 seconds. Body 'Water' absorbs Signal. So, when the Phone Bars show strongest Signal Strength, the Cellular Tower is in front of you. When Signal Strength is weakest, the Tower is behind you because Body 'Water' is absorbing some of the Signal. Knowing this will help you place your Booster Antenna where it can 'see' the Tower. It will also help you put your Phone near a Camper Window, allowing it to see the Tower.
2. Cellular Companies pretty much got out of the 'building Tower Business'. American Tower is THEE leader. They can place up to 3 competitive Cellular Company Antennas on a Tower. Use this Site to see where the Tower are around you along with the trick above.

3. I use a Verizon Air Modem, too. Using a USB Extension Cable from my Laptop, I've put my Modem at the end of the Arm on a spare Dish Network Dish where the LNB [with the white Disc] at the end of the Arm has been removed. Hold the Modem there with a Rubber Band or a Velcro strip. You can then focus the Dish horizontally towards the Tower location confirmed using the Body-based locating trick above to really focus and increase Signal Strength.
4. The Cellular Companies bid Billions of Dollars a few years ago on newly-released Cellular frequencies. They are migrating to these new, higher Frequencies. It is entirely possible that one Brand of Phone is on the 'old', and dominant, Frequencies. A different or newer Brand of Phone could be/likely is on the newer, higher Frequencies that don't penetrate things like Camper Walls as well. I've read of this same iPhone/Android Phone performance discrepancy on Cellular Forums. It's real. Also, my local Tower flips from 4G to 3G, and even to the ancient '1x' Network with my newer Android Verizon Phone, depending on Tower call density.
The Amplifier setup mentioned above will work, and will be worth the money.
