Verizon Unlimited Data

Someone this morning said you only had 14 days to switch. I don't know what they meant???

I'm happy to post an update in a few weeks. I just switched. With 2 phones + a hot spot, we transitioned from the 60gb plan to the unlimited. If it works as advertised, it will save us $100+ a month. Though we are not full timing, we do stream quite a bit when we are out, so the overage fees can be super expensive!

I would be very interested with a response from someone that switches. I really want to know if they disable the hotspot.

When I had unlimited with them a while back, my phone would not let me hotspot. I am on a 12gb plan now and I can hotspot my phone whenever I have 3G or LTE service.

I have AT&T's unlimited and they say they will throttle you back after 22GB but they never have (I've used 30+ GB - nothing much more than that). Or, if they have throttled it back I haven't noticed. I don't know about "below dial-up speed". I would like to think the reduction would be less drastic. AT&T does not allow tethering, however, when you have the unlimited plan.

By unlimited, they mean 22gb. After that, you drop down below dial-up speed. If you tether (wifi hotspot), unlimited means 10gb. $80/m for 10gb seems kinda pricey imho, how much is 10gb from Walmart?
