I don't have any direct experience with AT&T, but I'm well satisfied with Verizon. This past year we decided to change providers because US Cellular doesn't provide adequate data coverage outside their home area(s). The choice was quickly narrowed down to AT&T or Verizon. Though AT&T coverage appeared to be good in the area where we winter in Texas it was spotty in my home area and nearly none existent in other areas of importance. (I got this information from other AT&T customers I know.) Verizon coverage was much better, though at a marginally higher cost. So far, it appears we made the correct decision.
