Verizon?

We travel with ATT smart phones and a Verizon (office provided) cell phone. There are a very few areas that one would work when the others did not, but generally we did not use the Verizon. Recently we switched one of our iPhones to Cricket at considerable savings having been advised that Cricket uses ATT towers and has identical coverage. So far we see no difference and plan on switching the other ATT soon.

I have Verizon good coverage most of the country very few dead spots.and the Moto g4 play is awesome.

In my working years we were on the road all the time way back off the beaten paths working on COMMS SITES...

VERIZON was the only carrier we could use...

They are indeed spendy haha... They problem is they know they are spendy...

AT&T is catching up somewhat however... I keep getting brochures about their using the DIRECTV network to give us downstreaming of SAT TV CHANNELS. No Dish Needed just use the internet and a big data plan... AT&T is now working here at the house pretty good. It was always real bad before. I always told everybody here with their AT&T cell phones they would have to do the GREEN ACRES thing --- go outside and climb a telephone to make their contacts hehe...

One of my kids is now using AT&T and it works here at the house about the same as VERIZON does...

We had AT&T until we started going each year to a park in southern Colorado and could not get service at the park even though some other people with AT&T and different phones could. AT&T suggested trying different model AT&T phones. No luck with a different model phone either. And they would not allow us to return those phones that would not work. Said we could buy additional models and try again. Could they guarantee another model would work? They said no. Then they basically brushed us off after that saying they did not service that area. Really? When I asked about other people were using AT&T in the park, they had no answer except repeating that they do not service that area.

Changed to Verizon and could get service there reliably afterward. And have been very happy with it everywhere else we have gone.

When we are in the Mtn's {Lake Arrowhead} Verizon in the only way to go. Also, we don't have a land line to our house so have used Verizon MiFi JetPack for Wifi connection. Also, works great. Lars

We had T-Mobile a few years back and switched to Verizon because of coverage issues.

Last year we traveled from Missouri to North Dakota, Montana, Washington, Oregon, California, and back through Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. We had coverage probably 90 percent of the time with small pockets of non-reception. I can't imagine any other carrier would have been as good, let alone better. We are very happy with Verizon.

We travel W/ both ATT & V. only in the west. Times they both worked well, times V had no signal and ATT had signal and visa versa. A lot depends on how close you are to an interstate where V works best. ATT when we were away from interstate.So I guess it depends on where you like to travel and camp. Our test was run in these states. Wy. Mt. WA. Or. NV. Cal. AZ. NM. Co. from September 2016 thru April 2017. JMHO

Verizon is superior to Sprint without a doubt. We had no trouble getting a signal in the Tetons. We were able to get a signal in spots in Yellowstone but not everywhere. This was about a year and a half ago. Verizon is spendy but worth it if traveling out west.
