Actually, your hardware is not that bad. A notebook I assume? You're fine with Sony Movie Studio. You can even create a quick Bluray HD disc on a regular DVD by just placing video or photos on the editing timeline. Add any music, titling, and transition you want. Then burn the Bluray directly from within Movie Studio. No need to render to a video file first, then import the file into a separate DVD application like many other edit software. I do this all the time.
