Volt meter or multimeter recommendation please

I am told I should have a volt meter or multimeter in my Class A gas RV tool chest but I have no idea what type or style. I don't even know the difference between a voltmeter and multimeter! I searche...

I agree with above. You do not need an expensive meter for the RV. I have several but use a Harbor Freight meter in the RV I got free with a coupon.
More important is knowing how to use it. Electricity can be dangerous, even more so if you do not know what you are doing.
