VuQube 2000 & Direct TV

We were given the VuQube 2000 We took one of our Direct TV receivers from our house (D12). We set up the cube and locked in on satellite but when we search for satellite on the receiver it says no sattellite found or receiver error. We have tried everything. Even connecting the coax directly to the box. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We finally got it to work by switching to multiSwitch and 3 LNB's and works on 1st tv but when we move the receiver to the 2nd tv it won't work. The only way it works is if the coax goes diectly to the receiver. Not sure what else to try. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

You must have a coax running directly from your antenna to the receiver. If you want to have a receiver in 2 locations (or 2 receivers) you must run a second cable from the antenna to that location or that receiver.
  • On the VuCube 2000 there is a second coaxal hook up to go to the second receiver. On our Montana, on the outside there is a satellite hookup for the bedroom tv...hope this helps

  • If you also use this receiver in your house, the receiver setup is likely incorrect. Verify the settings in the Repeat Satellite Setup screens.
  • I assume you have programmed the 2000 properly for DTV? And you do have the Vucube Control box as well, correct? If you have the manual, the programming procedure for DTV is in there. If you don't have the manual, it is available online. There are NO DIP switches to touch on the 2000.

  • Make sure the dip switches are set for Direct TV. If not set them for Direct TV.
