I have a different "issue" and would appreciate advice. Through a miracle of fate and fortune I am acquiring a 3G (whatever that means) smartphone. I need to buy a SIMS card. But there's a catch - I appear in the USA every few years for a few days then head south. Buying into a "plan" would be foolish especially with my buzzard level income.
If I must lose credits because they expire long before I'll return is there a "Least Painful" option. Also, if the SIMS card sees no activity for a few years does it run away and join the circus?
No matter what I am going to rob the SIMS card out of my worthless AT&T cellular and use it in the 3G when I am in Mexico. But it would be nice to have the ability to confirm appointments, check on labs, call the pharmacy or tow truck when north of the border. I am praying the speaker clarity is better than the AT&T. The disposable Wal-Mart Samsung jobs are awful even with ear buds.
Somehow I get the feeling there are going to be no surprise good answers to this :(
