I tether my phone to my PC using PDANet as well as stream movies using Netflix. I was blowing through 20 gig with Verizon and wasn't watching videos etc. I know nothing about this stuff so I searched on line and there was mention of disabling auto updates. I ended up with DSL while home for the summer but I need to get something when we leave for the winter. I was just using my phone to my laptop.
Verizon was taken to court about tethering and lost the case and were told they have to allow it. This has not been applied to other carriers.
