Watching over-the-air TV on a notebook computer

We have an old CRT type TV with a digital converter box to watch TV in our Roadtrek, and our old XP-based netbook computer needs to be replaced as well. I was thinking of getting a new notebook com...

Last year I bought a 20" RCA TV at Loblaws for $90.
It has HDMI so I can plug in the iPad and use it as a monitor.
I wasn't looking for a new TV but I couldn't pass it up.

Nothing worse than needing the laptop when somebody else is watching TV on it.
