We can bat all this around more, but the real issue here is it changes my incoming stuff automatically, so I can't use it even with the default programs that come with it.
And we can bat the analogies around too, tires and brakes, maybe not a good one, but maybe a new CD player that will only play NEW CDs would be a better one, but regardless. NO place on the packaging or ads does it tell me nothing older will work - if I'd have known it, I'd have looked harder for Wdw7 - but it didn't occur to me that nothing I bought from this same company would not work - especially MSWord, which is a MS product -
And the bigger annoyance is that home page, home screen, whatever we call it wants to hide everything - I cannot for the life of me find anything on it without a lot of hassle- it's all hidden, no back buttons, no 'show and tell' just a bunch of blank screen keep popping up all over, the tiles, and it took me days just to figure out how to shut them off and quit wasting my hotspot...
All the small annoyances added up to one upset monkey - so, although I gave it a try - like the other eight or so MS OS I took the time to learn, I'm quitting on this one. I dislike it enough that I'm willing to dump this LT if it won't take Wdw7 - I simply do not like how it operates. At least the others were upgrades from a similar system, and quickly learnable - this one is totally different - at least as I see it, and apparently enough others think it too, because MS came out with a add-on that makes it revert to the Wdw7 mimic. That should tell us all something.
