- AllegroDNomadIf there is no signal to your rig than, no.
Now. WiFi is a 2 way handshake or it appears that there is no signal. Sometimes the weak device is inside your rig or computer. Many laptops or tablets have under powered wifi adapters. If the device in your rig cannot send a strong (enough) signal back to the CG router, you are done.
You can plug in an external antenna as some have posted above. You can also setup a better internal send and receive network, inside your rig. This provides a device with better/stronger handshake, inside your rig, which your devices with weaker signal can communicate with.
Here is an inexpensive way to do that. - GordonThreeExplorer

Nope. It's only as good as the system they are using. You can't make a space ship out of a Volkswagen.
I think Top Gear did make a space ship out of a Volkswagen :) - joebedfordNomad IIYes, there are all kinds of boosters that will help with wifi. They will NOT help with upstream bandwidth.
We typically don't even try to use campground wifi between 4 and 8 pm but once the old fogies start to go to bed it gets good again.
I don't own a smartphone as I consider them to be too risky for me. - Sam_SpadeExplorer

Is there a truly a way to increase the wi-fi signal in a campground without spending an arm and a leg?
Find out where their antennas are.......and move closer to one of them. - RoyBExplorer III never had any luck using the camp ground WIFI... They only work up close to the office building and after 4PM when everyone shows up they are useless... Too many users... Then the management comes out and says "no downstreaming movies"
We just use our cell phones to create a HOTSPOT and I also have an older VERIZON MIFI accoount that is good for 3GB dataplan each month... These are all protected good and only has me and my bunch on the setup... Others can see me but can't connect without an password...
The CELL PHONE or MIFI units are neat as they fit your pocket and you can walk around the trails or down to the beach and your tablets and other devices all still work...
Since I am using the VERIZON network I get great coverage just about anywhere we go. This includes my OFF-ROAD Camping way back in the woods along side a creek bed somewhere...
I gave up on the camp ground WIFI years ago and have never looked back...
We only use our cell phone and MIFI generated WIFI HOTSPOT for checking in with the kids, paying a few bills, and some searching of web sites...
We get all of the HDTV channels we want to watch using our OTA BATWING antenna picking up digital HDTV signals from the local towns which is free to the public... We love to watch the old TV shows big time like MASH and old cowboy movies... We get the local station news and network shows just fine... The OTA local station all seem to have one channel with live radar on it so being in our POPUP Trailer we get to track the bad storms in the area we are in pretty good...
All works great for us doing it this way... Public WIFI is just too risky for me...
Roy Ken - IvylogExplorer IIII add a Yagi antenna to the Alfa for even better distance. Used to be able to buy both for $36 on Ebay.

First off you need to know if you are dealing with a logistics issue or a bandwidth issue.
If you take your laptop to one of their routers or repeaters and get a great signal, there are devices that can bring the signal in to your rig from a longer distance. If however, the speed is still dismal when near the "source", then you are dealing with an inadequate bandwidth issue and nothing you can do will change that. - VoodooMedicineMExplorerShud be ALFA
- VoodooMedicineMExplorerI use an Alpha I put it as high as I can with masking tape.
- DutchmenSportExplorerNope. It's only as good as the system they are using. You can't make a space ship out of a Volkswagen. It's best to just depend upon your own WIFI, like your Iphone or SmartPhone hot spot. Pay for a decent plan and then you'll not have any problems.
