Here also. The problem with weather radios is that you constantly need to update locations while traveling.
actually, you don't. if you don't enter the S.A.M.E. county codes you'll get alerts for the entire area served by the NOAA transmitter. you will need to adjust the radio for the correct frequency each time you move but that takes all of about 10-seconds. getting alerts for the entire area is actually a good thing when traveling. you'll likely be aware of developing storms long before they're on top of you.
