That is close to what I'm am thinking too
Bar is not only the abbreaviation for "Barometric" on many indicators but the pressure is often measured in "millibars" (BAR).
ALT is Altitude (Get that from your GPS and dial it in) since it will affect the meaning of the BAR (Barometric pressure is naturally higher on the floor of Death Valley than the peak of Mt. Everest)
T-1 and T-2,, Temperature sensors.
This is a simple monitoring of current conditions with perhaps a bit of "Prediction" based on high or low barametric pressure.
What you want, Is a radio receiver, It will say "Weather/All hazards with SAME technology on it)
You can get one from your favorite store.. Dang near any store, Radio Shack, Wal*mart, CVS, Rite-Aid, Wallgreens, Flying-J/Pilot, T/A, Loves, The local hardware store, Lowes, Home Depot. The local Fire Department may have em. Television stations give them away from time to time.
I mean you find those puppies for sale EVERYWHERE.
True story:
Factory owner bought one.. It sounded the alarm TORNADO WARNING, so they shut down production and retired to the storm shelter in the basement.. When the All Clear was sounded they returned to the surface and found nothing..
NO plant
No machines
No cars in the parking lot (Ok so there was one big block chevy V=8 Engine but the car it came out of.... GONE) NOTHING.
Total plant employees dead or injured.. ZERO. they heeded the warning and took proper shelter.
I saw a movie of that tornado.. Yup, the plant's owner was not in the plant at the time, He was out in his pickup... FILMING.
