When traveling on interstates I like iexit. Tells you the upcoming exits and what is there. Rest stops, restaurants, gas etc.. It has been pretty accurate but I have only used it in California.
Other usefule ones are google translate (language translation), google maps (for navigation), gps essentials (good for all your gps needs), mixology (drink recipes for when you get where you're goin'), netflix (so you can stream movies), gstrings (to tune your guitar around the campfire), wheree's my droid (use it when your phone is lost or stolen), pdanet (to tether your computer). As you can see the list just goes on and on. Really depends on what you want to do.
