X2 on FoxFi - uses my data plan to make the phone a hotspot (secure!) - tethered on it right now. No extra $ to Verizon! GasBuddy savings practically covered my entire monthly data plan on a recent x/c trip. Google Sky gives you a star map - great to ID planets, constellations, etc. WalMart to find stores/phone #'s re: overnight parking, etc. myPilot to find Pilot/Flying J's - even lists types of fuel/services available and prices. OnGuard ($2 or $3) provides weather warnings based on your actual location - only app I've bought - worth the $. MUCH better alarms than Weather Channel, etc. 1Weather will also track you and provide a notification - does give a good Doppler radar map for your area, but lacks the alarms (OnGuard WILL wake you up in the night if you set it up with a good attention-getting ringtone!). Just added GeoReader - notifies you of what is on those roadside historical markers as you approach. Limited use of it so far - but can't argue with the price - FREE! Most of these were suggestions from other RV'ers on this and other forum. Have fun! ST
