What happened to my Firefox?

When it comes to FireFox new isn't always better. I had it installed for about an hour and gave up. The window controls in the upper right corner never did show up and there where other problems. I really don't understand this update cyclle of every two weeks to a month and the so called update breaks things that worked.

My opinion is that if it doesn't work out of the box it's still in beta.

Restored my back up to Pale Moon at least when it updates nothing breaks. Maybe in a few months I'll give it another try but it will probably be up to v43 and still be a beta on release.

You can also get older versions of Firefox directly from Mozilla servers at ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/. Just beware that browsers are not just updated for features, but to patch vulnerabilities, as they have become the number one target of hackers.

I downloaded 29.0.1 on Saturday morning saw the new GUI and went looking for the fix.
After I found the "Classic Theme Restorer", it took about 20 minutes to get everything back to "Normal" (whatever that is).

Old versions Firefox

They did an "Upgrade" to 29.0.1 over night And frankly.. NOT an upgrade in my humble opinion, at least as far as the UI is concerend, They broke Forecast Fox and I'm still not sure what else. OH, Yes, that's part of it,, I got to figure out how to put the address line back where it belongs too.

I live on doing 'k9pht 14rt' on google search and when it loads select 'images'... This is up all the time and allows me to instantly grab any of my recent RV NET post photos and get their HTTP address to input in the RV NET photos form for new post. I usually left click on the displayed photo images and it opens a another view with several like images it finds.. Then I can right click on the image I want to repost and get its HTTP address.

It seems now on the new 29.0.1 version of FIRFOX I don't always get to view the second image screen. I have to go completely out of google view and start another one then it works again???

I went to GOOGLE CHROME browser and it works everytime - must be a snag in firefox not doing this like before.

Oh I also have about ten TABS opened up ready to use on firefox tab bar.

I guess this makes it a poor man WIN 8 session haha...

This might help bring back the look of the "old" Firefox. I haven't done the 29 update yet, so don't know how well it works.

I had the same initial reaction but after a couple of days using the new version I'm comfortable with it. Progress (change) is more difficult the older you get but I know once I stop learning to adjust to something new I'll be a certified geezer...

It took me a little time to figure out Fire Fox .And I also wish for the Good Old Days.
