while it's true that the quality/engineering of a receiver will enhance it's ability to pull in radio signals the quality/engineering of the receiving antenna has a lot more to do with that. IMO the short rubber-ducky antenna on a lot of RVs, including our MH, leave a whole lot to be desired when it comes to receiving AM/FM signals...especially AM.
