What's a good semi-smart phone?

DW is looking to upgrade her flip phone to a smart phone. Mind you, we are nearing the age of 70 years and are moving like snails compared to the speed of technology. Secondly, we don't want a contract nor costly monthly plan.

After I ditched my Iphone I tried them all. I finally ended up with Straight Talk, from Walmart, flat 45 bucks a month, unlimited talk, text and data, AND NO contract. Just buy the card from Walmart and load the dollars on your phone once a month.

There is an entire aisle at Walmart of phones to choose from. I bought a couple of the really cheap off brand small smart phones and was not happy with them. a couple of them just stopped working.

I just bought a Motorala Moto with gorilla glass, from Walmart that was on sale for 19.99!! I bought two of them! I am VERY surprised on the quality and ease of reading the phone numbers and nice size keyboard for texting and easy to use functions. Not on sale they are around 60 bucks.

Another tip for you is look at the Jitter Bug phone. I was helping an elderly person program her emergency numbers into it and I have to admit that phone is real slick. It has questions on it you answer on what you want to do and walks you thru everything!!! REAL big numbers on the phone too. I was very impressed with the Jitter Bug smart phone.
