Whats wrong with Windows 8.1?

I've have 3 windows 8 machine for about a year now. It was designed to be one operating system across multiple platforms. So your laptop, pad, whatever will all work the same and it wants to put stuff on "the cloud" to share across all your devices. Which I guess is "neat". When all you want is a stand alone desk top with a mouse and a key board it.....lacks. I don't trust "the cloud" to put all my stuff out there, where ever that might be. The younger generation seems rather pleased to put all there "stuff" out in the cyber world.

I remember being upset with XP but I survived and I guess I will again. Just not sure I like where this is going.
