The major issue with Windows 8.1 in my book is that they tried to make it like Android or IOS with "APPS".. These APPS, which include both Solitaire and Free Cell, my two favorite time wasters, insist on taking over the computer, Just like APPS on a 'droid, they run full screen and block other processes.. The new START screen is also a pain in the operating system though you can tame it ... Somewhat.
Basically those are my major complaints.. Some other things also work differently and any time folks get used to how things are done, and you make major changes,, it upsets them.. And rightly so..
Also, some programs are not compatible which for some folks is a major disaster. (I happen to be one of those folks by the way).
