Exactly - those of us who are not 'tech smart' can't get this system to function properly. We have no clue and once we learn a system, want to keep it.
Personally, the touch screen is dumb - why would one ever want to stick fingerprints all over the screen and get your hands in the way of what you're looking at, for one thing.
And, it won't operate many of my programs -- so, either 'tech smart' the tinkering (not for me, can't do it well) or buy new programs (which I already bought once) ... Yup, M44 is a W8 hater, and these are a few reasons.
After I (insert $&#% word here) around with it on a new laptop for many months, lost a lot of work, and found a lot of aggravation, I spent a buncha more money and reverted three LTs back to Win7 - now, happy camper again ... so, it's not about the money, it's about the changes that cause lost time, lost work, lost files etc.
