There are many people who like to "play" with their computer. They may even enjoy spending time learning how new OS works and finding new tricks and shortcuts. Good for them.
There are others of us who just want to turn on our computer and use it to do the tasks we have always done and not have to learn all new ways of doing it. Just like my phone. I don't want or need a "smart" phone that can turn my house lights on when I am not there. I want to answer it when it rings, and place a call when I want to. And I want it to be easy and intuitive to do that.
I do have an iPad, and I love the way it works, as it is very intuitive, as are many of the apps. I have never had the frustration with the iPad that I've had with Microsoft products.
I know some will call me a dinosaur, but I am not an early adopter. I prefer to not have to re-learn every time a company abandons a previous product. And just to let you know, while I do have an an HD TV and a blu ray player, I still also have my VCR hooked up, and no, it is not blinking 12:00!
