My problem may be related to Win 8.1 - don't know, but in the last three months, my laptop disconnects from the wireless multiple times a day. I called Comcast, and all is well with my connection and my fast speed. I'll be in the middle of navigating to a second page on this forum, but 30 seconds later the message says that the web page won't load. I'll click on "home" on FB and after spinning, it says page won't load. If I refresh my ATT mail client, it says page won't load. Sooo frustrating. So my workaround is to click on the wireless symbol at the bottom right, disconnect, and then reconnect. I wouldn't mind it maybe once a day, but multiple times a day?
Could I run a wired connection? Yes, but the modem is about 10 ft away and I'd have a cord running across the room.
Does hubby have this issue? Nope. His laptop is literally on his lap at nite in the family room and runs Win 7. He's never lost the connection.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
edited to say I run Chrome - I like it and its always been good. I've got the latest version.
