Why I'M pissed at CW!My 2008 GMC factory brake wouldn't talk to hydraulic disc brake in my 2011 Carriage! So go I to CW with out trailer and bought a prodigy brake controller, when I left they said it was working. I even asked that day they installed prodigy if they checked to make sure there working, “oh yeah we always test them, we hook them up to a computer!Leaving go back home to TX, brakes not working, IM on the road, I assumed brakes would work, which made a ass out of me and... Prodigy was saying when hooked to trailer “C” which means not connected. IM on the road and there not working, so all I can do is go to there location. Arrived and went in to tell them, there statement was "where booked for three weeks with appointments, you'll have make a appointment and come back", a manager said! There wanting me to come back because there to busy. I finally said, well I'll wait till you are not busy, I live full time and it's to dangerous to drive back to TX with out brakes. Finally after over 3 hours they decided to look at it more. Same manager came out and seen “C” he checked to see if it was connected. Had a tech come out and test it, it's not working, really.. and they didn't install it correctly had to run 2 more wires, I watched. When I got back to Texas I had to replace the brakes and rotors, $1200 plus taxes. Yeah there customer service can get better.

Wow! I am amazed at the bad reputation CW is getting. Seems like there is someone getting the short end of the stick every time i visit the forum. Guess I will not buy or have them work on my rig. I think Marcus is trying really hard to turn it around. Hope he is successful.Happy trails,Kyle

'C' on a prodigy means connected. Seems to me there is another issue that niether theGM factory system nor the Prodigy would operate your brakes. Why would you have had to replace pads and rotors on non working brakes?

On -every- Prodigy I've seen the C means CONNECTED.

On my Prodigy C means connected too. When I am not connected and touch the brake pedal, it shows 2 dots. (one is the gain setting indication)When I plug in, then it shows C for connected.

Making the list...lol I was kidding on that..

He said he had tested it on a computer. They might not have had a hydraulic brake trailer on the lot, they didn't believe mine had those brakes..

I know you don't like towing without trailer brakes, but how is the repairman going to check for proper operation without the trailer.

Well it's amazing I did state I should have checked it first and said I made a ass of my self. But you assume that when I asked if they tested it and they said they checked it put it on a computer, they did right. Prodigy I bought is for hydraulic and magnetic brakes, I did make sure it was on hydraulics.
Some of you make it sound like I'M the one that didn't put the 2 wires on, I saw the tech put 2 more on. That's why it wasn't working and they didn't test it like he said... Damn it is all my fault..lol

Far as why I had to replace my brakes they where cracked from heat and rotors had hot spots from heat..

C does mean connected, but it wasn't working!
Also bluestek the trailer wasn't there because brake controller on GMC wouldn't work with brakes on trailer. Kind of stupid to pull trailer across town when you knew there was a problem, the first time, right.

On my Prodigy, "C" = connected. Did YOU check the settings to YOUR satisfaction? Very easy.

Sometimes an OP gets so wound up with emotion that they're thinking faster than they are typing and their thought process isn't translating well to the written word. A bit of reading past the emotion and mistyping may be necessary at times in order to provide assistance.
