why is 2nd TV snowy please

Thanks again for your help from the inexperienced newbies here.

When we bought the fiver it had a large analog TV in the living area and a small analog in the bedroom. We replaced both TVs with new models. Large TV works fine on antenna or cable. Small bedroom TV is snowy.

Went through the scanning and also brought it back to factory specs. No help. Did change the coax cable to a new one. The cable is white. Not sure if this is due to the 'resistance level'? perhaps we have the wrong cable??

Would appreciate any advice and suggestions.

Again, many thanks for your help.

Can someone explain how a "New" TV can have snow and receive a signal that gets cleared up by wiggling a wire when there are no stations broadcasting analogue?

There are still a number of TV stations (low power) broadcasting an analog signal. You will find these in your channels listing as channel numbers ending in x.0, i.e 3.0 which is the channel required to receive the signal coming from a satellite receiver with a coax (analog) output.

Yes, thanks. That makes sense. In our house we had Dish-TV. We used one television for the receiver to work with channel 60 (point zero). Got it!.... Thanks!
