Wi Fi Booster

Do you have a weak signal or a bad connection? Weak signal a booater will help. If you have zilch for connection speed due to overloading then there is nothing that will help.

Rare to have signal strength issues in an RV park. Out to my garage,that’s a strength issue.

Keep in mind that boosting a WiFi signal has nothing at all to do with improving performance. If the park internet service "stinks" a booster will not help that at all. However, if you can take your computer to the office, close to the router and get good performance but you don't get good performance at your site then a booster "might" help. Each additional link in the network slows your speeds so any improvement will not be linear.
For a really good, inexpensive WiFi booster go to David Bott's website. He walks you through the setup and for about $100 you will have as good a setup as possible without a lot of effort.

We've had really good results using the Alfa system from TechnoRV (about $125). We've been using it for about 3 years now. It really helps pull in weak signals, but as others have mentioned, it won't help speed up a bogged down campground wifi.

personally I avoid any public WiFi like the plague no matter where it is, hotel, campground, Starbucks.........

Use my cell phone data plan with a cell booster if needed.

We've been using the Alfa system for years. Works great, when the available signal is worth boosting.

Everybody makes choices. While you are happy with your decision it's certainly not necessary as long as you know what you are connecting to and you use your head to ensure you are on the site you were planning to visit. HTTPS is your friend.

Tried various things over the years and the best we found is WiFi Ranger.


Ours is getting a bit long in the tooth but it still works quite well. Don't remember the model offhand, but I'm sure it is outdated anyway.
