Wi fi extender

I like to install a WI fi extender(buster)in my FW.I see some but I don't know if they work good.Which one is better and easy to install.
  • I have been casually looking for a wifi extender myself. I have been getting email newsletters from

    www.technorv.com

and he has a interesting selection of them.
  • I use the JEFA-REPEATER-XR - JEFA Tech WiFi Repeater System XR and am happy with its performance and ease of installation.
  • I need one, buc. Let us know how whatever you install does.

Simplest is Wi-Fi Ranger.. But there are other ways.

If you know where to point it a directional antenna helps.
  • they all have to be reconfigured or set up at each place you want to extend the wifi at. some are a little easier than others to set up they are not just plug and play unless you go to the same place each time.
  • On the JEFA Tech WiFi Repeater System XR setup it's a matter of "read a line, turn a screw".
  • The best WiFi extender is GOOD antenna. The best antennas are directional so you might need some kind of of "strength" meter to "dial in" the antenna direction. Many WiFi antennas come with an amplifier, but I don't think and amplifier is that important.

The problem is laptops do not have an external antenna connection. Either you need a USB WiFi adapter.

Google "WiFi range extender" and you will find several recent reviews.
