I replaced the wifi router in my home with a new one and moved my old one to my rv. For the life of me I cannot remember what the pass word is. How do I retrieve it. My lap top and wifi printer see it but without the pass word they will not communicate.......How do I retrieve the pass word??

Look up "factory reset". There is usually a way to put the device back into the out of the box configuration.

Did you change the password from the default? Of not do you have the documentation that came with it?

Yes, thanks - that's it.

My normal user account doesn't have administrator privileges for security reasons.

Maybe you aren't running it as an administrator.

Select Command Prompt (admin) and try it again.

Interesting piece of information. I did notice that it did not seem to work when there is a a space in the SSID. Maybe there is an escape character for space, I didn't check.

The key thing not mentioned about netsh is that it will not display the password for a router that you have never logged onto. This is mentioned in the comments of the YouTube video.

The OP will have to use a PC that has been connected to the router previously.

Do a search online for your router, you should find something like this.. It's the most likely way to find a way to get the router set to a password you can use.
