This will bring up the password for the wifi profile:

Follow these steps, watch the YouTube video and it will make more sense. Copy paste the command line syntax, it will save you some frustration trying to copy it from the video (like I did).

They took a A linksys router out of the box and plugged it in.. Guess what the Admin password was.. Yup.. Admin, they did not even change it.

I did half the change,,, then left the manager's office while he did the "new password" half.

Try ADMIN

First there may be a reset button. This returns it to factory setting including the default password.

Second. if you did NOT use the same SSID your laptop may recall the PW and know how to connect to it (IF you did, well sorry)

I am on the chromebook just now so can't research how to "Discover" the PSK (Password) for the current connection but I know it can be done.

OH, one other way

IF you know the password to access the router's set up pages (Again often the default) Hard wire to it using Cat5 Log in and look up what you need. It is on the set up pages after all often under "Security".

Go back to the post about "Factory Reset"! Easy Peazy!

Which router is it? We can look up info on the net on how to reset to factory, but it helps to know the manufacturer and model.

Are you talking about the admin password to log in to the router? Or the password for the wi-fi network?
