WiFi HD from Seagate.

Just want to report this problem solver works for me and performs as advertised.
It connects with my iPad anywhere and provides all the storage space I need for books, videos, pictures, music etc...
It creates it's own wifi network, DOES NOT NEED THE INTERNET!

Password protected and it notifies you when somebody signs on.
It stores all you need and lets you stream or download and store material to a tablet as needed then you switch it off.

not suggesting the product is not, simply pointing out that I had a run in with one where the person who purchased it and had their files on it had not secured it..

I actually am thinking of getting one, as it would get me out of the last reason I sync the ipad to the PC for videos...

  • What @troll3193 said. Great idea, but unless you secure it, it will be a huge liability. Unsecured, it makes every file on it available to everybody within 300 feet in all directions.
  • these things are cool. I used one like this on a recent flight to hong kong

odd thing was it wasn't mine. I was looking to see if they had wifi on the plane and I connected to this device automatically.. Someone on the plane had it on and unsecured...

So..... you might check out the security options, or you might have guests browsing your files
