Why I got this: (Reason 1) improve the wifi signal from the CG. (Reason 2) distribute that signal (or the one from my hot spot) to the myriad other wifi enabled devices with only one log in. Several times now, CG's give a different password to each device. They never charge but it is a hassle keeping up with them since we have 2 laptops; 2 tablets; 2 smart phones. With this device all of these log into the repeater using the same password and the repeater logs in to the CG using the provided password. (Reason 3) I didn't know about the Pet Temp sensor mentioned in my other thread but it works great with this. (Reason 4) I like gadgets.

This is the setup I have and it works really well. The interface is a breeze to use and the non-techie will have no problems. I attach and remove my antennae to/from my ladder using springs clips that I pop riveted to the aluminum base. These are "broom handle" spring type Broom handle clip.
