Since I run off of a hotspot at home and it burns a lot of data to watch TV I am limited in my testing. Today I am off to one of our new local CGs to test. I have requested the worst WiFi site on the property and will also bring my Apple TV. We only use this to stream DVDs from the iMac to the large screens. Someday we will get decent broadband service here on the hill. If these two systems work today that will be my primary TV service on the road but on this first trip I will also bring along the DirecTV set up as back up. The primary reason for this attempted change in watching TV is to make the one night stops easier. Sometimes it gets a little annoying trying to find a satellite signal even though Direct is about the easiest to set up. It does seem that everyone is starting to realize that WiFi is important to travelers. I will set everything up this afternoon and then head back over to the CG this evening to do a final test. Will post results in the morning. All the CGs I have booked for the trip to ND & MN have just recently upgraded their WiFi systems. I have my fingers crossed and will check back tomorrow with results.
